Client Portal

Email Setup

Set up your branded email account on Apple Mail, Outlook, Gmail, iPhone, Android, or directly in webmail. This guide includes IMAP, SMTP, and port settings for your account.

Email Configuration

Mail Servers

Same for incoming and outgoing.

Secure mail servers will be supplied and are specific to each account. Or you can try mail.yourdomain.com — for example, mail.example.com.

Account Type

You can choose between IMAP protocol and POP3.

  • For IMAP, use port 993
  • For POP3, use port 995
SMTP Setting

Use port 587 or 465 for the SMTP setting on all email clients.

Encryption

We do not support non-encrypted setups. When specifying the settings for the incoming and outgoing server, select SSL/TLS encryption for incoming and STARTTLS for outgoing.

For specific installation instructions regarding your particular client, select the corresponding link.

Webmail

Accessing Webmail

You can directly access your email from the Web by simply entering the Webmail web address in your browser’s address bar. For example, if your domain name was example.com, enter the following web address:

https://example.com:2443/webmail/
Sending Mail From Forms

Using Web Forms to Send Mail

It is not recommended to use your webserver for sending mail. This makes your site a target for hackers to send bulk mail through your forms and get your IP blacklisted. Then you will not receive email when your prospects and customers use your forms.

To avoid such issues, there are many different SMTP plugins to authenticate the mails and deliver them. We recommend any of the plugins that are listed below to successfully send mails from your website.

  • Easy WP SMTP
  • WP Mail SMTP
  • Post-SMTP Mailer (I use this one)

If you use Gmail

Migration

How to migrate an email account from a former hosting provider to your current provider.

ATTENTION: This email migration process only works with the IMAP protocol. It will not work with POP3 configurations.
  1. Create an email account for your former hosting provider within the new email client using IMAP.
  2. Create a separate account for your new account within the email client, also using IMAP.
  3. Update both accounts to ensure that each account contains all of the current emails.
  4. Select all the emails and folders from IMAP Acct #1 Inbox and drag contents to IMAP Acct #2 Inbox.
