For IMAP, use port 993

For POP3, use port 995

Use port 587 or 465 for the SMTP setting on all email clients.

For specific installation instructions regarding your particular client, select the corresponding link.

Accessing Webmail

You can directly access your email from the Web by simply entering the Webmail web address  in your browser's address bar. For example, if your domain name was example.com, enter the following web address:

https://example.com:2443/webmail/

Using Web Forms to Send Mail

It is not recommended to use your webserver for sending mail. This makes your site a target for hackers to send bulk mail through your forms and get your ip blacklisted. Then you will not receive email when your prospects and customers use your forms.

To avoid such issues, there are many different SMTP plugins to authenticate the mails and deliver them.

We recommend any of the plugins that are listed below to successfully send mails from your website.

Easy WP SMTP
WP Mail SMTP
Post-SMTP Mailer (I use this one)
If you use Gmail
Install Instructions for Post-SMTP Mailer
Google API Console

The video below will answer just about any question about setting up your email. All rules apply for all devices. The instructional video demonstrates the setup for outlook but the settings are all the same regardless of what device you are setting up. You may need to find where to enter the settings on your particular device and you can refer to the manufacturer of the particular device for that.

How to migrate an email account from a former hosting provider to your current provider.

ATTENTION: This email migration process only works with the IMAP protocol. It will not work with POP3 configurations.

  1. Create an email account for your former hosting provider within the new email client using IMAP.
  2. Create a separate account for your new account within the email client, also using IMAP.
  3. Update both accounts to ensure that each account contains all of the current emails.
  4. Select all the emails and folders from IMAP Acct #1 Inbox and drag contents to IMAP Acct #2 Inbox.
